It is easy to see why “Stagecoach” is considered to be the greatest western of all time and Tom Tyler's critically acclaimed performance to be favorite of many (including myself). One thing is for certain: Tom knows how to execute a mysterious and compelling character only previously referenced in the story, and he is as badass as they come. He also knows how to act quite well with his eyes (during filming, John Ford took John Wayne aside and complained about his acting with his mouth; Ford told him to act with his eyes). Tom holds his own quite well and of course his death scene at the end is the best part.
